In an hour's talk today, which
ranged from a discussion of the 8
hour law to Mexico, the tariff and
free trade, Ford told for the first time
the reasons that have moved him, a
life-long Republican, to support Wil

"To begin with," declared Ford, "I
am supporting Wilson because Wall

"I'm for Wilson because he is on

We've proved it often. ,
"We have had the 8-hour day
in force in the Ford factory for three'
years and we have' made more money
each succeeding year under it. It

"Republicans are arguing that the
present prosperity is unhealthy, that
it is wholly due to the war and that
when the war ends all our prosperity
will cease unless we have a Repub

."I deny first that war is respon

this country. The Ford company has
not taken a dollar of war contracts
has refused them time after time
