BRITON'S CRY VENGEANCE AS
' GERMANS DEPORT BELGIANS
London, Nov." 18. England is to
day seeking some means of reprisal
against' Germany for '"enslavement"
of Belgium's men. Not since the ex
ecution of Miss Edith Cavell has
there been such a wave of popular in-'
dignation as that which is sweeping
the country over fresh details of
Teutonic plan of giving employment
to Belgian.civil population by deport
ing them to Germany.
Three hundred thousand pale Bel
gians above age of 17 are affected
by "employment" orders from Ber
lin. So far at least 45,000 of these
have been transported from their
homes to Germany.
