The good ship Mayflower laden
"with fruits makes a charming decor
ation for the Thanksgiving table.
Carve the hull of the ship from a
long pumpkin, erect a gilded mast
carrying a silken sail, line the hull
with green paper and fill it with fresh
fruits. Surround the ship with a sea
of green tissue paper shavings.
Boxes for favors are now shaped
like small roasted turkeys or chick
ens. Their appearance can he much
improved if they are placed on tiny
platters and dec6rated with parsley.
Chrysanthemums are ' the ' finest
flowers for the Thankasgiving table.
"Whatever the flower, yellow is the
best color to select
A small Indian camp arranged
with children's toys makes the table
decoration wbich children like best.
Funny little dolls made with nuts
for heads and corn husks for clothes
are always, appreciated by adult
guests as well as children.
Crepe paper decoration especially
designed for the day are to be had by
those who have neither the time nor
thejiatience to execute an original
decorative scheme.
