The status of the babe born out of
wedlqck stirred up quite a rumpus
yesterday among the ladies at the
luncheon of the Woman's City club.
Dr. Lucy Waite started things
when she said that the Castberg law
'proposed for Illinois would do away
yith legitimate marriage She says
where the man in the case is unmar
ried he should be forced to wed the
woman who bears bis- child.
A dozen other ladies said enforced
weddings were undesirable.
