Miss McNamara is America's new
est heroine. She Was at the tele
phone switchboard of the Canadian
Car & Foundry Co., at Kingsland,
N. "J., when she noticed I the small
flame which later caused explosions
of big stores of munitions, wreck
ing buildings and killing many. She
stuck to the switchboard 'until she
had routed out all 1,400 employes of
ths plant, then fainted and was
saved by Eire Chief McArthur.
