GOING BACK TO PARENTS
New York, Feb. 2. Betty Lee,
singer to New York and Newport so
ciety, has created a sensation by
cleaning up $100,000 in Wall street,
and now says that instead of spend-
qg ing her fortune on the gay white
way, she is going back to her home
in Atlanta, Ga., to enjoy real life
, with her parents'.
Three years ago Miss Lee came to
New York with $20, a guitar and cos
tumes for use in singing ' southern
folk songs. After a hard struggle
she reached society and became pop
ular as a singer at society entertain
ments. She saved her money, bought
stock on the advice of a banker and
won her fortune.
