The egg is the worst shell game we
have ever been up against.
There was a time when eggs were
so common we trapped hem in great
numbers and ate them while they
were still young. But that was be
fore they invented cold storage.
in those days the elder eggs were
utilized as an offensive a very offen
sive weapon in the hand of dis
pleased theatergoers. Today the
only difference between the elder
eggs and the young ones is ten cents
a dozen.
Under present conditions it is fre
quently brought home to the poorer
of us that while dead men may tell
no tales, with eggs it's different
The egg today is a nomad. It trav
els up and down the country and
the pricehst all the time. It is the
ambition of every well-born egg
