Samuel Insull has a country home
on the edge of Libertyville. A broth
er of his was out there one day. The
brother picked up a phone receiver'
and said: "Gimme Sam Insull's house

The operator plugged in on 60, and
asked: "Is this Sam Insull's home?"
A woman's voice it was Mrs.
Samuel Insull replied indignantly:
"No, it is not Sam Insull's home. It
is Mr. Samuel Insull's."
"Beg pardon," said the operator.
She withdrew the plug, opened an
other key and spoke again to Insull's
