new york that kid was sertinly in a bad fix, the copper said who took him to the polise stashun to try to find the kid s ma this cop who ansers to the name : of henry williums was walking along t lexington ave when he runs into a t little boy that was crying his head v off t whats the matter, the cop asts him i am lost, the kid says dont you know where you live, the poliseman says to him no i "dont, the boy replyd, for we moved to a new house this morning and I forgets where what's your name, the cop asts i don't know what it is, the littel feller says to him you don't meen to tell me that a big boy like y6u dont know his own name i knowed what it was yesterdy, the kid said, but i dont know what it is now that's funny, the cap says no it aint, the boy tells him, for my ma just got married agin last nite & i was asleep when they got home & this morning i forgot to ask her what my new name was TOO SCIENTIFIC The city-bred boy's parents had just moved into the country and ar f rangements were being made for him to attend the public school.
