Mayor Mitchel's food supply committee, of which George. W. Perkln
is'chairman, is supplying New York with fish and other foods in an effort
to cut the high cost of living for the poor. The picture shows a butcher
selling Pacific coast swelts at six cents a pound. Women crowded stores
which co-operated in this way with the mayor's committee.
