DRESS HAT IN VALENTINE COLOR SCHEME
"Cupid" Hat in True Love Colors, Pale Pink and Blue.

To contrast with the untrimmed
look of many fashionable tailored
hats, stunning millinery for the aft
ernoon is often a combination of
several fine colors.
An extremely youthful and ultra
stylish color scheme consists of a
black crowned hat brimmed with
Put 1 cup of milk into the upper
part of the double boiler with 14 f
a teaspoon of salt, and when it is
scalded add 2 tablespoons of butter
that has been blended with 2 table
spoons of flour. Stir for 8 minutes
to cook the flour and form a smooth
mixture. Have in readiness the yolks
of 4 eggs beaten to a cream with 3
tablespoons of sugar; pour the hot
flour paste on this, mix well, add one
teaspoon of vanilla extract and set
aside to cool. Rub a little butter
pale blue Georgette crepe, banded
and bowed with black velvet and
adorned with pale pink rosebuds.
Roses seem the supreme bloom
for Easter millinery. Some are as
large as teacups; others of peanut
size are bunched or strung in gar
lands as the shape of the hat may
over the top so that a crust will not
form. When ready to cook, fold in
the stiffly whipped egg whites and
turn into a deep buttered souffle dish.
Bake in a moderate oven for 35 min
utes. Serve with a hot, foamy sauce.
