Committee Strengthens, Resolution Stone Dissents

War Preparations Rushed.
Washington, April 3. The senate
foreign relations committee today
reported out the administration state
of war resolution amended so as to
strengthen its entire text, with but
one dissenting vote that of Chair
man Stone.
The president is directed to "em
ploy the entire naval and military
forces of the United States" aeainst
't
Germany and to "bring the conflict
to a successful termination."
"All of the resources of the coun
try," the resolution ends, "are here
by pledged by the congress of the
United States."
The resolution as amended reads:
"Whereas, The imperial German
government has committed repeated
acts of war against the government
and the people of the United States
of America, therefore be it
