Gallup to Gibson esterday afternoon, met a
young Mexican by the name ot Lplflailo
Marlz, who assaulted her. bruised her arm,
bad: and hands and threw her into a ditch
about e'ght feet deep. He Jumped into tha
ditcli and tore her clothes partly off and
nibbed her of SO Marshal Smith started
for the man last night and this morning
arrested him about n mile south of Gibson.
There- is considerable talk of lynching."
