untary fasting, without a morsel of food
or a drop of water, is recorded thus far
as made by tlio Lehigh county invalid,
Mrs. Adam Muchter, at Whitehall. Her
strength is slowly hut inovitably ebbing
away, and her sufferings are extreme.
Dr. Sniirer is of the otunion that Mrs.
Muchter may survive another month.
Two Men Asphyxiated.

Michael Kcenig and Patrick Mulligrew
wero asphyxiated in tho establishment
of tho Eisen Vineyard company this
afternoon. Mulliirrew who was a laborer
entered a C000 gallon cask to clean it
and was overcome by misses. Foreman
Kienig was notilied and went to Mulli
grew's assistance but was also overcome
and both perished.
