John Salutherback, day foreman of
the lead engine in the local yards, re
turned last night from an extended
visit to his old home In Kansas.
Superintendent E. J. Gibson, of the
Winslow division, and Trainmaster
Lupton, after spending yesterday In
the city In conference with a party of
high omciais of the Santa re, re
turned to Winslow last night.
H. S. Lutz, agent for the Santa Fe
at Santa Fe, who was recently pro
moted to the position of agent In
this city, to succeed F. L. Myers, who
was transferred to Wellington, Kan.,
will arrive in the city Monday and
assume his duties on July 6.
Word reaches the city of the death
of Mrs. N. H. Morrison, wife of Dr.
Morrison, chief surgeon on the Santa
Fe coast lines. The end came the
middle of the present week and was
indirectly the result of a street car
accident of a year ago, in which her
skull was fractured. Dr. Morrison
was In the city yesterday with his
children en route to Chicago.
