Mexico territorial cattle hoard. Is
among those from the north attending
the fair.
Colonel J. Francisco Perea. the post
master of the Jemez hot springs. Is
here on a visit to his daughter, Mrs.
P. Parent!.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred O. Marshall, from
up the road, are here to attend the
fair and visit Mrs. J. C. Mai shall,
mother of Fred.
Mr. and Mis. C. P. Allaire, of San
Antonio, N. M., arrived In the city
this morning and will remain till the
close of the fair.
Joe Smith, the leading druggist of
Socorro, is in the city with his fam
ily, and they are the guests of Dr. and
Mrs. F. M. Jones.
R. P. Hall and family arrived this
morning from Hollywood. Cal. Mr.
Hall la proprietor of the Albuquerque
Foundry and Machine works.
Cashier Cook, of the local office of
the Equitable Life Assurance society,
left this morning for Chicago, and
will be absent several weeks.
Miss Barbara Cotton, the popular
daughter of Colonel and Mrs. C. N.
Cotton, came In from Gallup last night
to visit friends and attend the fair.
F. H. Pierce, president of the Agua
Pura Ice company, of Las Vegas, was
among the Meadow City people who
helped to celebrate Las Vegas day.

fair.
The family of Victor Sais, of Helen,
are the guests of friends In the city.
Mr. Sais passed through the city tins
afternoon en route to Estancla, where
he is called on business.
City Editor Ward, of the Las Ve
gas Optic, was here yesterday, re
turning to the Meadow City last night.
He favored The Citizen office with a
call yesterday afternoon.
Mrs. Charles Zelger and Mrs.
Chailes M. Geach, of El Paso, are here,

pany, in New Mexico, has returned
from a visit to his old home at

Mrs. II. O. Wliitcomb, Forest Raker
and sife, and Lorenzo Hubbell are In
the city from lianadn, Ariz., visiting
friends. Mrs. Wliitcomb will go to
Wichita, Kan., aiiout October 1.
Mr. and Mrs. (Jus Peterson and
their daughters. Mrs. Sweezy and Miss
Peterson, are here from Las Vegas to
spend a couple of days with relatives
and friends, and to attend the fair.
Dr. W. T. Hadcllff, physician at
Helen, Is In the city accompanied by
his family, anil Miss Lydla Hock, of
Milwaukee, who has been visiting at
Helen. Misg Hock is a sister of Mrs.
Kadcliff.
Colonel H. A. Jastro, of Rakers
fleld, Cal., Interested In several im
portant Albuquerque enterprises. Is
here to attend the fair and to visit his
daughters, Mrs. W. H. Greer and Mrs.
M. O. Chadbourne.
The Las Vegas Optic says: There
were only about thirty tickets sold for
the Albuquerque excursion this morn
ing. That Is not as many as we had
hoped for, but quite a number went
down on No. 7 last night.
A. J. Loomls. the deputy revenue
collector, could not resist the tempta
tlon to come to Albuquerque, attend
the fair and mingle with t'ne crowds.
He Is here today, and Is among the
Santa Fe visitors at the fair.
The Woman's Christian Temper
ance Union, which has served free
ice water at each fair held In Albu
querque for the past twenty-five years,
is furnishing unlimited quantities of
the good old beverage this year.
L. M. Steckle, a ranchman residing
north of the city, complained to the
police late last night that some one
had stolen his saddle horse, which he
had left tied on one of the Bide streets.
The animal is a small bay, with white
hind feet.t
The Elks wish to announce that
the lodge rooms and parlors of the
organization nrp wide onen to n.ll mem
bers of the herd who are visiting the
city, mere will always be hot coffee,
Bandwlches and Elks' milk on tap at
all hours of the day.
Dr. John M. Reshoar, a well known
young dentist of Trinidad, who Is here
with the base ball club from that city,
favored The Citizen office with a call
last night. Dr. Beshoar Is a pleasant
gentleman, and he says Trinidad Is
Improving and growing rapidly In pop
ulation.
Colonel William Morris, a county
commissioner of McKlnley county
accompanied by Mrs. Morris and'Mrs.
Edward Hart, came In from Gallup
last night and reviewed the big pa
rade this morning, besides taking In
the sights at the fair grounds this
afternoon.
Word came In from Pajarlto late
yesterday afternoon that Mr. and Mrs.
Felipe Hubbell were having a fair all
to themselves, and the festivities were
being held at their Pajarlto home. The
center of attraction was a bouncing
baby boy, and he is reported to be a
ring horse in every sense of the word.
The Citizen extends congratulations.
