Shooting. Ghas. Leroy was
shot by Wm. Sam at the Colorado
hotel Saturday morning and se
verely wounded, Sam delivered
himself up to the autorities. Le
roy's condition is critical.
An Indian was shot and killed
during the week by the oflicers
while endeavoring to effect his ar
rest. Persona fi. Clarence Gray, J.
F. Staples and Chas. A, Thompson
arrived by Saturday's stage from
San Diego.
Georgo Tyng arrived from Tuc
son by last night's staere.
Isabel with freight for Arizona.
The steamer Newbern left- San
Francisco the 3d inst. with 200
troops and 500 tons of freight for
Arizona.
We understane that the Hotel
of IT. E. Baker will be finished by
November. His mammoth store
beneath, will be 60 feet front with
a depth from street to street. -
THE COURTS.
Notice is hereby giveu that the
Board of Equalization has ad
journed to meet again on Monday,
August 5th, 1872, at 8 o'clock a. m.
in the town of Arizona City, A. T.,
when all complaints against the
raising of assessments will be
herd.
