The fonrt h.iuse ianitor this week took the County "Germ" catcher out to givo it an airing and the Health oilicer is supposed to know about how many "ilerms" the said janitor mui-derod- Somewhere between forty and one-hundred and eighty mil lion we suppose. Some people ure objecting to placing the said "'germ catcher" back in place and think the county should buy a new "germ catcher" at a cost of $-100 to .$50". What's the use? Surely since the janitor has re novated it, it will be able to give any new "germ catcher" points in the game, it is an old story we must not desert the old for the new, besides the county needs the five hundred dollars for a new court house Then again most of the high muck-e-mucks at the Court house who iko thn'V.erm Catcher" couldn't be lucky enough to catch suf ficient "germs" to do them any injury. If the janitor can stand it they ought to. Place the old carpet back in the old hall and let it stay there as long as the court house stands, when the o.d court house is a thing of the past, let the "germ catcher" go with it i'TöOOU for a new ccurt house not a darn cent for a new rope carpet or "Germ catcher." Selah! A Narrow Escape. Sebastiain Anderson narrowly escaped serious injury last Fri day when a moving freight train collided with his buggy while he was crossing the track on Jack son St , but luckily he escaped unhurt and no more serious dam age was done than that his bug gy was partly demolished 'Bas' J seems to be unlucky but yet lucky Here of late, as this buggy was recently hit by an automobile, but on that occassicn also, he escap d serious injury. Us To Neighbors. A good neighbor is always the most desirable of possessions, although in some cases their so cial value is underestimated, says an exchange. What constitutes a good neighbor is also frequent ly misconstrued, althrough ty sensible acception of the term is' the neighbor who is friendly with out being officious' hetoful with out being superfluously so and finally, one who respects the pri vacy of others, housenold affairs by a certain degree of formality of manner The social neighbor is not always the useful neighbor, yet each in her place has special influences to exert of equally beneficial c insequences. The sympathetic neighbor is also a popular one, but she has to exercise contin uous tact, lest her solacing in fluence may occasionally be over done orutilzed at untimely peri ods. The inquisitive neighbor is always a dread to every body within the reach of her inqusitive curiosity, as she boes not seem to have any intuitive respect for others' feelings as regards their divulgence of personal affairs to an outsider. The truest and most respected of all neighbors, however, is the one who always speaks well of everybody who devotes the lar gest share of her sympathies to her own affairs, is chary of ad ministering unsolicited advice, and who always waits until her social and useful capacities are requested, and never renders her self ofTicious even in her most sanguine elforts at proving to be a good neighbor. The Reds defeated the High Arts, of Jbvansville, on the local diamond Sunday by a score of 6 to 2. Bell was in the box for the Reds and his pitching was a feature of the came, the Evans ville lads very rarely being able to connect with his big curves; the boys gave him first class sup port, playing ball in their old time style Some of them also had on their batting clothes and procured several nice hits off the High Arts tosser. Kidney trouble preys upon the mind, discouragcsandlesscnsambitjon; beauty, vigor and caecnul ness soon disappear when the kidneys are out of order or dis eased. Kidney trouble has become so prevalent that it is not uncom mon for a child to be born afflicted with weak kidneys. If the child urinates too often, if the urine scalds the flesh, or if, when the child readies an age when it should be able to control the passage, it is yet afflicted with bed-wetting, depend upon it, tbecaus of the diffi culty is kidney trouble, and the first step should be towards the treatment of these important organs. This unpleasant trouble is due to a diseased condition of the kidneys and bladder and not to a habit as most people suppose. Women as well as men are made miser able with kidney and bladder trouble, and both need the same great remedy. The mild and the immediate effect of Swamp-Root is soon realized.
