A smart piece of detective work was
performed by Senior 1'iitrolman Hurst yes
terday evening In the arrest of VA Turucr,
a fuuitivo from Mississippi Justice. A
telegram was received in tho evening from
W. T. (Vie, of Hollywood, b-lllng tho ofTl
cor to look out for Turner, and in leu
than an hour bo waa arrested and locked
up. Turner is charged with having stolen
a suit of clothes aud f-V) in money at
Hollywood. Ho is a powerful negro aud
his arrest was no small task. Ho admits
having- taken tho clothes, but denies that
he took any money. Ho will le held until
tho arrival of olliccrs from Mississippi.
