THE FTTTSBTIRG : .DISPATCH, TUESDAT, NOVEMBER "l, , 1892. ALL NEEDS CAN BE EASILY SUPPLIED BY DISPATCH ADLETS. C'DOKHEIi WEIIES A L3TTEB, lie Says the History of Homestead Strike Will Slake Interesting Reading. Hugh O'Donnell has written a letter to a Baltimore friend. The letter is dated at the Allegheny County Jail, Pittsburj, Pa. After dealing with personal matters, Mr. O'Donnell speaks of the Homestead strike as follows: "You know how we were on that morning in welcoming the troops that were afterward used to aid the Carnegie Company to defeat us. Xearly half a regi ment of these same troops were scarcely on the field ere they cast aside their muskets and took our positions in the mill. Was that honorable? And they were aided and abetted by their superior officers. 'When the true history of the Home stead lockout is written it will make mighty interesting reading.' Outside of a few hot heads the conduct ol our men has been most magnificent under all the trying circumstances that have surrounded them. There have been just i desertions out of a total of 3,800 men. The situation has not materially changed; the same firmness that characterized them at the beginning is still apparent," Peudentlt break up your cold by the timely use of Dr. D.
