"THE SOFT WATER LAUNDRY" Cochise Teachers Are Best Paid In Arizona, Says Case The total combined annual sala ries of the superintendents, princi pals' and teachers of the state amounts to $3,713,264.55, with Maricopa county taking the lead with $1.0S7,2S.r).53, ac cording to the Arizona educational di rectory. The directory was prepared by C. O. Case, state superintendent of public instruction, and lists the school officers of the state as well as the school teachers, giving their ad dress and salaries. The directory al so contains the rules and regulations governing the 'certification of teach ers for the state. The lowest monthly salary paid a one room rural school teacher in the state is $100, the highest salary Ixv ing $175. while the city schools fur niBh a higher average. The feature is made of the one room rural school where the teacher shortage was felt in the opening of the fall term.
