Full Text of the u Jdgment
Certain intenled parties in Mineral
Park whoso business- prospects were
somewhat impaired by the removal of
the county seat to Kingman cm plowed
counsel from abroad Co contest the remov
al and endeavor by Eomc hook or crook
io have the county seat removed back
again to Mineral Park B M Sanford
Esq the vrell knowu Prescott Attorney
was the leading counsel employed by
these parlies and tho matter w as brouglif
to an issue on his application to the Su
premo Court ior writ of mandate io com
pel the Board of Supervisors to make a
rocouut of the votes costal the late elec
tion and throw out certain votes alleged
to have been illegally cast by which the
vole on the county seat would liavc been
changed
The petition was made to tho Supreme
Court in the first instance on tho ground
that tho Court Commissioner of the Bis
tritt Court and the County Jud0o of this
county had both removed their oilicc io
tho new county scat aid hence had bc
como interested and prejudiced pirties
After some argument tho Supreme Court
finally agreed lojiear tho petition and ap
pointed a day for m doing but at the
same time allowed our Board of Supervis
ors tho defendants against whom the ac
tion was brought to appear by counsel
and present their side of I he case The
case for the plaintiffs was ably arguoJ bv
Mr Sanford who supported his argument
by some forty seven pages of affidavits
made by Q K Sherman referring to nu
merous alleged irregularities n tho elec
tion We rcgiet that lack of spate pre
rents the publication of these afli 1 ivita
which woull bo interesting reading to
many of our citizens some of whom huvo
lived in the county ten or fifteen years
who are chafed with haying illegally
voted Judge Sumner Howard and Judge
Ilush argued tho case for the Bo ird ol
Supervisors andthat they did it well is
shown by the judgment of the Court a
