the countrymen from the various

city and no doubt ho has acquaint
ed hiB friends of the progress of the
order. The originator, Mr. A. G.
Munday, has exerted himself in va
rious ways for the gooil of his
countrymen and 1 wish him suc
cess. I shall visit Washington this
coming tail, in the inter
est ol the Hotel Brotherhood, to or
ganize an order in jour city-, and
1 shall come with the linn resolu
tion of being successful.
Dr. G. U. Hamilton, who has
been couliued at his residence by
u severe sore throat, was permitted
by his physician to return to his
post of duty, aud received manj
congratulations on his return.
It has been my intention to give
the many loudcis of your pupa a
short tiUotch of the lives of tlu
prominent caterers ot this city, in
cludiug Stevens aud uihcis, but
shall make tho delay until the sum
