You certaiuly said something aud to repeat a few more prayers like that will crack the pitcher although the bauds may be gold. Look out boys the Bee is stingiug, dont get near the hive, and be sure to keep your fingers out of the honey then you are safe. Alright Mr, Editor chop on never mind where the chips may fall, you are not respon sible for falling chips. God bless There are scores of our high- koned(?) citizens who are always saying they don t read the Bee. No one careB whether ihey do or not. But those same individuals are alwajs inquiring what its contents are. ihe real fact is they are too impecunious to make au honest puicLase of a paper but prefer to sponge on their good natured friends. Some young ladies say lhat they would not read a cc Iorea paper at all because speaks too plainly about maters. Yet those same persons waste their midnight oil in reading literature that would turn a mum my to a blush. It cannot be deu;ed that the Bee, while it does not bite off its words at both ends, and call a hoe au implemeut t f agricu ture for fear of offending some one, it does undertake to pay that it offTS far more valuable instruction than any paper lor its size in the District. That is to sar that the character of its information excels even the dailies. For what one ot them tells of the true progress of our people home and abroad. One might safely venture this lemark that he who does not read ihe Bee knows little of the colo ed race. That is thote net sous resident in the District. It is to be hoped that th's narrow mean prejudice will melt away before the advance of a decent and intellectual .people. It was not sophistry when Ai istolle I debated how many souls could be agents any more than 3 months subscription, iu a ! vance for the Bee.
