seaton, 33rd degree.
Saturday April 16, at 12, midnight,
the solemn services of Knights Ko
dosh were performed over the remains
of the late John A. Seatnn, 330; a sub
lime prince of Robert J. Fletcher Con
sistory, valley of Alexandria, Va., of
which the 111. Magnus L. Robinson, 33
degree, is the commander-in-chief.
The 111. D. F. Seville. 330, G. S. G. H.
E. and special deputy, assisted by the
Illustrious M. L. and R. B. Robinson,
33 degree, grand inspectors and the
111. Carter, 33, of Fletcher Consistory
with the Consistory performed the cer
emonies, at the county seat of the 111.
Seaton, at Bealton, Fauquier county,
Virginia, Sunday the 17, the religious
services were performed by several
divines, after which the lines were
formed and the body was then buried
with the Kites of Rose Croix 1S0, A.
A. S. R. The Mystic Shrine and fol
lowed by the Blue Lodge services un
der the auspecies of Universal lodge
No. 1, F. A. A. M. of Alexandria. The
111. Seaton, was one of the most prom
inent colored citizens of the Stale of
Virginia, he having occupied different
prominent positions under the govern
ment. The funeral was largely attend
ed by both white and colored friends.
The Illustrious M. L. Robinson, 330,
acted as general master of ceremonies
he and the deceased having been
friends for a number of years.
At a special session of the Imperial
Council of Mystic Shrinefor North and
South America Imperial Mosque Oasis,
Chicago, 111. Imperial potentates, J.
G. Jones, 330, on the throne ,the Impe
rial Council passed suitable resolu
tions of condolence upon the death of
the 111. Noble J. M Reed, 320, of Me
dina Temple Mosques, N. Y. City and
that copies be sent to the widow of the
deceased noble.
The next session of Imperial Coun
cil will be held in Philadelphia, Pa.
The 1. C, R., is now preparing his
office decree, for issue.
The services held over the remains
of the late HI. John Seaton 330, were
the first of the kind ever performed
over any Mason m the State of Va.

The K. T. of the D. C, will observe
Assenston. The Sir Knights under
the auspicies of Sir Knights, Shields,
Seville, Adams, Lucas add others are
getting things in line. This grand
commandery is now taking upwards
steps in the Order of Knighthood.
