EXCHANGE REVIEW.
New York. June 20.—The expressions of
opinions on the street after the rejection of the
senate amendments to the silver bill had be
come known here, were generally favorable,
but, as indicated by the ((notations today, the
feeling did not extend to the buying of stocks.
The dullness in the market today was again ex
treme, with a general drooping tendency in
prices. The final changes show a uniform line
of declines, and while most are for small frac
tions, St Paul lost l r : H , Lake Shore 1%.
Government bonds were steady.
Petroleum opened steady: spot at 88%; July

A Matter of Interest to Travelers.
Tourists, emigrants aud mariners find that
Hostetter's Stomach Bitters is a medicinal
safeguard against unhealthy Influences, upon
which they can Implicitly rely, since it pre
vents the effects that an unhealthy climate,
vitiated atmosphere, unaccustomed or un
wholesome diet, bad water or other conditions
unfavorable to health, would Otherwise
produce. On long vogages, or journeys by
land in latitudes adjacent to the equator, it is
especially useful as a preventive of the febrile
Complaints and disorders ol the stomach, liver
and bowels, which are apt to attack natives of
the temperate zones sojourning or traveling
in such regions, and is an excellent protection
against the influence of extreme cold, sudden
changes of temperature, exposure to damp or
extreme fatigue, it not only prevents inter
mittent and remittent fever, and other diseases
of a malarial type, but eradicates them, a fact
Which has been notorious for years past in
North and South America, Mexico, tlie West
Indies, Australia and other countries.
A Good Thing to Keep on Hand.
From the Troy (Kan.) Chief.
Some years ago, we were very much
subject to severe spells of cholera mor
bus; and now when we feel any of the
symptoms that usually precede that
ailment, such as sickness at the stomach,
diarrhoea, etc., we become scary. We
have found Chamberlain's "Remedy the
very best thing to straighten one out in
such cases, and always keep it about.
It is somewhat similar to the usual
cholera cures, but seems to contain in
gredients that render it more pleasant
to take, and that do their work more
quickly. Sheriff licvereux telli us that
he is sublect to cholera morbus, and
recently felt a spell coming on, when he
obtained a bottle of Chamberlain's Colic,
Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy, and
two doses made jiim all right. We are
not writing this'for a pay testimonial,
but to let our readers know what is a
good thing to keep handy in the house.
