At the time of the accident she was mak ing rt fire In the stove and In order to hurry It along saturated the wood wltn Kerosene. A good supply of kerosene was used, Judging from the result when the match was applied, for the ftnme flashed up Into the ypung lady's face severely burning her. Her hands wee badly blister 3d and her hair and face burned. The remains of John McCarthy, who was killed Thursday night, were burled in St. Rose's cemetery Saturday af ternoon. The funeral was held from the Purple Undertaking company's mor gue, where the body was taken. In spite of tho efforts to find tho dead man's relatives none could bo found, so Poor Director Loftus, of Fell town ship, ordered the body burled. The funeral of Samuel Treasure, who was killed In No. 2 mines on Thursday Intt, took placo yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Services were conducted nt the house by Rev. A large number of persons paid their last tribute of respect to their de ceased friends. The remains were tak en to the Presbyterian church, where tho services were conducted by Rev.
