The Interstate Commerce Commis
sion todhy granted increased fare
on lines of the Cleveland and Erla
and the Ohio Valley Electric rail
ways. The Increases on the Cleve
land and Erie amount to 20 per cent
on cash train fares and 21 per cent
on tickets. Commutation fares re
main at 1 cent per mile except
that 7 cents the minimum fare in
Erie. Pennsylvania will be used as
the basing fare -Instead of S cents.
On lines of the Ohio Valley Electric
railway, two new fare xones are au
thorized. The increase amounts to
about 1 cent a mile on all except In
the minimum fare zone.
