All the property in the county; on which taxes are levied is valued by the assessors at $19,704/740. The city district, it will be seen, pays somewhat over three times as much taxes as the county. When the well below Moundsrille was abandoned a set of tools was left stuck at the bottom, about 1,300 feet below the surface, llr. Osborn was at work yesterday endeavoring to recover the ropo, which he intends cntting as far down as possible, leaving the tools in the well.
