East Bnd. went to the country to spend tl*? day. They were picking berries along the Pewlky railroad below Glenn's run, above the city. In the afternoon, when a terrible accbrfcnt happened that resulted In the death of Sirs. Holtsclaw. Sh?-? and her husband were on a bluff above th- track, and started down to cross the track. Mrs. Holtsclaw did not hear an approaching north-bound train, which rounded a sharp curve Just an she was stepping on the track, until too late. She was struck by the locomotive and thrown twenty-five feet to one side. She had b*?;n struck on the head Just above the ritcht eye and whs almost instantly killed. The train was the pa*s?nger train that leaves Wheeling .?t - p. m. Th-- body was brought to Wheeling: last evening and prepared for burial.
