A PICTURE AGENT Cnts a Swath in 'Wheeling on HIh Firm's Money?Ho Skinned Town lie fore Ho Could be Locatcd. and Bold His Horse and Rig for a Song. The authorities would like to locate ono D. A. Richardson, a picture agent, who 9atne to Wheeling several weeks ago, but left town just when needed by the officers. He Is wanted for embezzling money from a Buffalo, N. Y., picture house, and the sum is placed between $500 and $1,000. The police were asked to look out tor Richardson and they discovered that he boarded at the Traymore. but their visit disclosed his painful absence. He left Wheeling on Tuesday evening.' Richardson claimed to be an artist engaged in enlarging pictures, and succeeded in appropriating to himself his Arm's money for some time back. Ho was a good liver, his love for good driving horses being a point he was weak on. He possessed an elegant horse and rubber-tired buggy, but finding pastures new conducive to his health. Tuesday evening at least, he disposed of horse, buggy and harness to a Wheeling man for $28. The outfit was worth not less than $150. At the Traymore Richardson paid his bills regularly. A few days ago he left this place, securing a room In the Peabody building, which he furnished in palatial style. He neglected, however. to furnish the Palace Furniture Company with the price, and the firm was glad to recover the stuff yesterday after hearing of the embezzlement charge.
