Yesterdny, in Justice Duning's court, Harry Metz, a detective on the Baltimore & Ohio railroad, had a warrant issued for Robert Hole, charging him with resisting an officer. The case is the outcome of the small riot on the South Side Sunday night, in which Metz attempted to arrest Bole for stealing corn from a baggage car. Other warrants will likely be Issued later. Colonel White's Lecture. At the First Presbyterian church last night, Colonel Robert Lee White lectured on the "Passion Play," and in the beauty of his descriptions, the magnificence of his diction, tho splendor of his gestures and the sweet tones of his voice, he excelled nil previous efforts, and at the close the delighted audience that had hung upon his words during the one hour and a halt that he portrayed the beauties of that wonderful play, fairly deluged the colonel with words of commendation for the intellectual treat he had given them. Special Services at St. Joseph's. v This morning at 6 o'clock, there will bo one of the most solemn services of the Catholic ritual, held at St. Joseph's Cathedral, In honor <>f the late Mary Jane Carney, who was a most liberal benefactoress to the Catholic Orphan homes. On Thursday at the same hour, there will be a like service held for the late John Bruce, who also contributed very liberally for the same cause. The orphuns from both the homos will attend these services, as also a large number of the conf;reKatlon.
