In respect to parties It shows this diffcrepce: The Dem ocratlc vote in '56was 1302,. this, time it is " V202r counting the aggregnto of Breckin ridge and Douglas, showing a falling off of ten. .'Tbe\ Fillmore vote in '56 was 1292, i.The Bell .vote yesterday was 936? showing a lulling off of 256. The Repub lican vote in '56 was 62, while yesterday it was 600?showing a gain of 638, or near ly one thousand per cent. The same gain would give them the state in less than two years more, which we may parenthetically remark is not probable. It will be seen that Breckinridge runs much better and Douglas tnu^h worse than . their respective friends anticipated. Bell also runs much behind what^was expect - ed, and Lincoln at least one hundred be yond what most of his friends counted on. At this writing we cannot tell how the . vote, stands all round in the county. We should say, however, that Bell will have about twelve hundred, Breckinridge dbout eight " hundred, Douglas about seven hundred and fifty, and Lincoln close on to eight hundred. Lincoln's vote in Ritchietown was wonderful, and was the talk on the streets and especially at the Court House, all day. k? ?i??? i?a?'ij ticKeta fn the city, except Lowther, who is one hund red and twenty-nine ahead of the Breck inridge vote. Mr. Gorrell was undoubt edly stronger than his ticket, except for the fact that he was so late in the field, and found so many of bis friends pledged to the other candidates. He has done wonders, considering this, disadvantage." In an even race his personal popularity would have run him neck and neck with the best man on the trtck. The news from the country, so far, does not certainly indloate who is elected, but-there is no rea son to doubt that it is Mr. Sights. He goes out of the city, upwards of a hundred ?bead bf Lowtber, and runs clear awav at Atkinson's, and all that he could possibly get elsewhere. We should say hat his majority in the county will be about flerenty-five. ?' From foreign parts we have nothing definite, at this hour. Marshall county* appears to be doing right well for "Old Abe." She gives him 42 at Benwood, (thanks to such good men as Squire Mc Mechen,) 25 at Moundsville, which is' small; 35 at Burleys, and 23 at Big Run. "X HOSTETTER'S Stomach Bitters! - manufacturers of HOSTET _Vo vifCieBltATED STOMACH BITTEllS can appeal with perfect confidence to physicians and citi zoub generally of the Uuited States, because tho. article lias attained a reputation heretofore un known. A few facta upon this point will speak more powerfully than volume* of bare assertion or blazon ing puffery. The consumption of Ilostettora Stom ach Bitters tor the last year amounted to over a half million bottles, and from its manifest steady Increase in times past, it is evident that duriug the coming year the consumption will reach near ono million bottles. Tins immense amount could never have been sold but for the rare medicinal properties cou taiued in tho preparation, and the sanction of the moat prominent physiciuns in those sections of the country where the article is best known, who not only recommend the Bitters to their pationts, but are"ready at ail times to give testimonials to its effi cacy in all cades of stomachic derangements and the diseases resulting therefrom. This is not a temporary popularity, obtained by extraordinary efforts in the way of trumpeting the quality of the Hitters, but a solid estimation of an luvalitablc medicine, which is destined to be as eu during as time itselC Ifostetter's Stomach Bitters have proved a Godsend to regions where fever and ague and various other billious complaints have counted their hunilr<>d? j>j'^ft\ki? cure Tor the Dyspepsia and nice diseases, is to the proprietor!* a sonrco of un alloyed pleasure. It removes all morbid matter from the stomach, purifies the blood, and Imparts re newed vitality to the nervous system, giviug it that tone and energy indispensable for the restoration of health. It operates upou the stomach, liver, and other digestive organs, mildly but powerfully, and soon restores them to a condition essential to the healthy discharge of the functions of nature. Elderly persons may use tho Bitters doily as per directions on the bottle, and they will fiud in It a stimulant poculiarly adapted to comfort decliniug years, as It Is pleasant to tho palate, invigorating to the bowels, excellent as & tonic, and rejuvenating generally. >Vo havo the evidence of thousands of aged men and women who have experienced the ben efit of using this preparation while suffering from stomach derangements and general debility; acting under the advice of physicians, they have abandoned ail deleterious drugs and fairly tested the merits of this article. A few words to the gentler sex. There are certain periods when their cares arc so harassing that many of them sink under tho trial. The rela tion of mother and child is so absorbiugly tender, that tho mother, especially if she be young, is apt to forget hor own health in her extreme anxiety for her infant. Should the period of maternity arrive dur ing tho summer season, tho wear of body and mind is generally aggravated. Here, then, is a necessity for a stimulant to recuperate the energies of tho system, and enable tho mother to bear up under her exhausting trials and responsibilities. Nursing mothers generally prefer the Bitters to all other in vigorators that receive the endorsement of phvsi cians. because it is agreeable to the txite as well as certain to give a permanent increase of bodily strength. All those persons, to whom we havo particularly referred obove. to wit: sufferers from fever and ague, | caused by malaria, diarrhoea, dysentery, indigostion. loss of appetite, and all diseases or derangements of the stomach, superannuated invalids, persons of sedentary occupation, and nursing mothors, will consnlt their own physical welfare by giving to Hoe tetter's Celebrated Stomach Bitters s trial. CAUTION?We caution tho public against using any of the many imitations or counterfeits, but ask for Hosteter's Celebrated Stomach Bitters, and see that each bottle has the words "Dr. J. Resetter's Stomach Bitters" blown on the side of the bottle, and stamped on the metallic cap covering the cork, aud observe that our autograph signature is on the label. 49*Prepared and sold by HOSTETTER A SMITH, Pittsburgh, Pa., and sold by all druggists, grocers, and dealers gonerally throughout the United 8tates, South America and Germany. ? nov3-dawly JTJST IN TIME FOE.
