second will embrace the whole period of
its existence, commencing with the original
Act of Incorporation in December, 1801,
and concluding with the Act es'ablisl:ing
the University in December, 186.5.
It will have increased interest imparted to Ti
it, not only by the fact that it will constitute a
complete history of the Coil,-ge, but by the
further consideration that it will contain
several new Sketches and additions to
the Sketches of thiose Presidents and
Professors who have died since the
appearance of~th.e work. Among the new
sketches will be those of Judge Longstreet, A
Rev. Ro'.ert W. Barnwell, and Professor
Venable of the University of Virginia.
It will be ernbellished by Portraits of the
Presidents of the Coll.'ge. The volume will
