An Ordinance Respecting the Streets,
Pavements and Wavs of the Town of
Walhalla.

Wardens of tho Town of Walhalla in
council assembled and by authority of
the same: SKCTION I. Thal it shall be
unlawful to nina horse or mule on .Main
street, and any person or persons so do
ing shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
SUCTION 'A. That it shall be a misde
meanor for any person or persons lo rut
trees on any streets of thc 'own.
SUCTION il. That it shall be unlawful
for any person or persons to injure any
shade trees by hi'ehing horses, mules or
other live stock thereto, or otherwise
committing any ucl winch is calculated
to injure said trees.
SKCTION I. That il shall be unlawful
to leave melon rinds or ol ber such trash
oil thu streets and any person or persons
sodium";, who shall refuse to remove thc
same on request of the Mayor or
Marshal, shall be guilty of a misde
meanor.
SUCTION*!. Thal it shall be unlawful lo
leave any jules or accumulations of loni
ber, lirewood, rocks or oilier material on
tho streets, except South I!road street,
along tho line ol' railroad or lumberyard,
and any person or persons so dobie, s?mil

SKCTION ll. That il shall he unlawful
for any merchant-, clerk or other person
to allow to accumulate on Main si reel,
in front of their promises, any sweepings
or collections of papers, paper boxes, tin
cans, broken glass or crockery, or other

for any person or persons so lo do,

lire-crackers or slingshots, or lo throw

so doing shall be guilty of a misde
meanor: Provided, a person may shool

SKCTION H. That it shall be unlaw ful lo
ride or drive upon the sidewalks, or lo
lead a horse thereon, except lo noss thc
same al a regular crossing, or lo place
any obstruction which may impede a free
passage on or along ?my sidewalk, and
any person or persons so doing shall bo
guilty of a misdemeanor: Provided,
that a drayman may drive or buck bis
wagon on the sidewalks tor Ibo purpose
of loading or unloading heavy trunks,
boxes, Ac, al once, hu! mus! drive oil
immediately after so doing.
SKCTION IO. That it shall be unlawful
to rule a bicycle mi the sidewalks of
Main street between the Court House
square and tho cross street al .1. W. II.<1
leinan's residence. Any person so doing
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor: Pro
vided, that any person riding a bicycle
who shall collide willi a person walking
on the sidewalks shall be guilty of a mis
demeanor.
