a deoision which announces a new rule
in regard to acknowledgments of debt.
Heretofore it hus been accepted as law
that, where a payment bad been male

According to the late decision, no note
can now be collected after six years, on
tho ground that partial payment hus been
made. Tho payment is to be considered
