Mrs. I-TnIN had for many years stif'ered from an affection of the heart, and for at least three years before her ,death had almost entirely lost her vi eion. She died fill ol years, being about seventy.five. and of hope of a blessed imnortalit v. No Doubt onr readers appreciated the "Quaint. Sermon" pnblished in our last. We would be glad to have more remin isconces from the same and from other sonrees. Many a one made add to the. entertainment of our readers by a little time spent in composition. The following report, will show the state of the market during the week: On Friday, the 18th instiant, 120 bales clianged hands, tit 29 a 32e. for low middling to middling. Otl St. (urday, there was an improved inquiry, principally from Northern byers, the staple a!vancing in most cases dilring the' day N a Ic. per lb., the sales amountilig to some 300 bales. on a basis ot 33e. for strict nid-Iling. On Mondiv. prices became ver .iregular, bur. ael. vancing, with sales of 100 bale". On 'Tuesday, strict middling went up to 36c., with sales oif 100 bales On Wednesday, 250 bales were dtsposed of -at riot middling 37e. Yesterday, there was still an upward tendency in the mar Iket, ab. nt 200 bales chatiged hands. We quote: Ordinary to good ordinary, 29 a 32e.; low middlhng to middling, 33 Stock of rice small-clean Carolina. 11 a 12c. pe'r lb. Thse re'ceip's of hay during the week amount to 1,200 hales of Eastern and North River, at $1.30 a 1.40 per humn .dred.
