Our ?romen thank their visiting friends for their expressions of kind fooling, and assure them that i hoy are not forgotten by the Charleston Firo Department : Many anxious eyes looked tor the arrival of the steamer Emilie, on Friday last, and our firemen wore in full uniform to receive their brethren. But disappointment was visible on the features of all at the non-arrival of tho steamer. On Saturday morning, however, tho Emilie steamed up to the wharf with her col ors flying, and quite a crowd assembled to hear what tho Winyans had to say. The conduct of our boys on the occasion of the Late parade in Charleston meets the hearty approval of all, and from what wo can learn, their efforts were highly appreciated. It is conoodod that thoy were second on the Hat, and bave no reason to be ashamed of their place in the picture. Wo bear continued encomiums bestowed upon (ho warm reception and cordial hospitality thoy received by their brethren, tbo Stonewalls ; and it will be many a long day before their visit to tho good old " City by tbe Sea " fades from the memory of the Winyahs aud Sila mandors. On Saturday evening an entertain ment was given by the Salamaudois that carried us back to the good old days of the past, and the only wonder is, in ibcse days when tho housekeepers find it so hard to provide, how so many choice viands were got at. The evening passed off in mirth, sentiment, and song, until tho noon of night reminded the assembly that Sunday was near at band. We understand the Winyabs are to give an entertainment next week, at which they expect some of their Stonewall friends to be presont. The Visiting Schuetzf.n.?After tho festivi ties of tbo Scbuetzonfcst closed on Friday night, tbe colebrants returned to the city aud enjoyed a ball, given at Ldndstedt's ball, which was kept up with unabated zest until the small hours of morning. On Saturday, the visitors were entertained by their friends here, by showing them around the city in vehiclos und on foot. Champagne and lager were liberally poured out in the private residences to which thoy were invited. In the afternoon the visitors were escorted to the steamship Champion with Muller's brasB band at their head. Aboard of the vessel, parting senti ments were drank, and champagne aud lager mercilessly punished. (Speeches were made by Professor Meier, Captains Melchers of tho Charleston Club, and Gerdes of the New York Club, and others, and a jolly time bad gene rally. The Charleston Scbuotzen gave the New Yorkers and New Jerseyians barrels of lager as parting tokens, and in turn received a barrel from the recipients. "All aboard" was sound ed, tbe decks were olearcd, and the good ship and visiting Schuetzen passed out of the pier amidst cheering and hearty hurrahing and other d?monstrations of "God-speed." The Fest has been an immense succobs, pe cuniarily and otherwise, and satisfaction is experienced on all sides. The Augustians re turned on Friday and Saturday, in "broken doses." ADOLI?H ISAACSKIST'S PHOSPHORIC PASTE, HERMETICALLY sealed and warranted to keep fresh for all time? the greatest discovery I of its kind in the age we live in. No person need bo troubled with RATS, MICE, BED BUGS or ROACHES, for Mr. Isaacsen's destructive remedy is within the reach of all. Prepared only by himself, from rare and valuable compounds, its cheapness is as wonderful as its efficacy. Hundreds of testimo nials have been received lrom all parts of the United States. The great advautage this SURE POP possesses over all similar preparations is the FACT that it is Certain In its Kfleets, and free from the unpleasantoess of rats dying in their holes, as it causes tbem to leave the premises to seek air, and consumes them so entirely as to leave No Disagreeable Odor. Numbers of references cau be made to Persons in thin City, who have successfully used it.
