BURNSIDE, CONN., December 15,18G9.
DEAB SIB-It is with much ploasuro that I
write you upon facta respecting myself. I do
not know hardly how to express myself. I
have been for the last ten or twelve years the
great9Bt Bufferer man could be and live, but
more sometimes than ethers. Tbe complaint
was the "Kidneys" and "Bladder." I have
been sometimes from twelve to fourteen hours
and wanted to make water evory m?nate, but
could not. Have consulted doctors both in
Massachusetts and this State, and taken pills,
I may say, by the quart, also liquored medi?
cines; but found no relief from any, and got
worse tbe last six months. I was so that I
could scarcely get about. I could not rest
night or day. It would soon have been "all
np" with me if I bad not Been your advertise?
ment in the Berkshire Courier, headed "Kid?
neys." I read it through, and thought I would
try it. I purchased a bottle; but, mind you, I
bad not much faith in it. Why should I,
when I had been trying so many things and
cost me so muoh ? Weil, before I had taken
the first bottle I felt bad; bnt I finished it and
got another. By the time I took bair of the
second I still got worse (apparently.) Whon I
walked it seemed as ir my right kidney was
falling from ita place, and I made up my mind
lt was no use trying any more. And all thin
time the "Bncbu" was doing its work, but I
did not know it; so I gave it np, and went to
Hartford, on Saturday, to one of tbe best doc?
tors in that city. He said it was the neck of
the blander,''and I should have to under po an
operation. He gave me medicino, and I went
home quite down-hearted. On Sunday 1 was
unable to go to chcrch. I had not taken of
his medicine, but on my return continued
using the "Buchu," and in the afternoon I had
a desire to make water, but could not. About
one hour after this I tried a?ain, with tho
same result ; but the next time I took the ves- J
sel it was the same as turning a faucet and
stopping it off again. It was so for throe
timea, and tbe third time there was some?
thing came through the passage and struck
against the Bide of the vessel. I examined it,
and it is the ugliest stone or gravel you ever
saw, covered over with little pieces which col?
lected together. It looks the color of a mud
turtle, and is as hard as flint. So yon see the
"Buchu" was doing its work, although I was
feeling BO badly. I procured another bottle,
thinking there might be some more bebind;
but since that has passed, which is eight
weeks ago last Sunday, I have been aa well as
ever I was in my life. I bave the Btone secure?
ly wrapped, and those who have seen it in this
place are surprised. I cannot tell you all; but
this ia a true story of my case, and you are
welcome to make auch use or my name as you
think proper. I am pretty well known in
Berkshire; also in Connecticut. Tho ad vcr
?sement saved me. Why not publish more ?

as au excellent combination; and with his ad?
vice, after an examina tion of the matter, and
consulting again with the druggist, I conclud?
