Recently an inquest was held, at I
Mobile, hy a coroner's jury, upon tho I
body of* Timothy Driscoll. Thc
evidence given before the jury was;
that Driscoll, who was a hight watch- '
mau, complained that he diitnot feel '
weH; that the mosqnitoos bothered |
him, and that he "'was going whore j
they would not disturb him." Com- |
mitring suicide a few hours after, it :
was supposed that this petty na
noy ance impelled him to commit the

family in Philadelphia, last week,
were poisoned, and wore very near
living, from the X?SO of some New
York flour containing particles of lead
with which the millstones of the mill
where the flour was'ground had been
patched. It will be recollected that
several hundred persons in the State
of New York were poisoned, many
?nf them fatally, by the use of this
flour some months since.
The last species of suicide yet
heard of is that of a man in Lancaster,
(N. Y.,)jwho being at loggerheads
with his wife upon the subject of
religion-she bciug a Romanist and |
he a Lutheran-left his house after a ',
bitter dispute, and going to the woods
committed suicide by "falling" a tree !
