Salt Lake advices to the 8th inst,
givo the particulars of a shocking j
massacre near Glenwood, in Severn
Valloy. A mau and his two daugh?
ters, aged respectively lifteeu and
eighteen years, wero captured by a
party of Indians, led by Black Hawk,
a blood-thirsty fiend. The old man's
.brains was bonton out with clubs, but
tho fate of his daughters was still
.worse. After violating their persons,
-tho Indians put them to death with
.extreme torture, by thrusting rough
knotted pine sticks into their bowel?,
?.ausiug a most horrible death. Their
bodies were soon afterward disco?
vered.
The. London Army and Navy Ga?

sian America by the United States,
says:
"There was an English Minister
who made a considerable stir about a
placo called Nootka Sound, and was
going to war about it, till tho euemy
knocked under. Nootka Sound is
not a hundred miles away from the
late Russo-Amcricau laud ceded to
tho TJuited States, to our discontent,
perhaps expressed by somo whining
land barking."

A WORD ABOUT THE "QUEEN'S
DELIOHT."-Wo mako tho broad asser?
tion that tho medicine called the "Queen's
Delight," as prepared by "Hoinitsh," ac?
complishes moro for suffering humanity
than any other remedy now in use upon
tho face of the earth. This fact, and the
wonderful eurea it perform?, ia corrobo?
rated by living witnesses. Tho theory ia
this: No disease can be cured .without
cleansing and purifying the blood, which
it} the fountain of life. This combination
of alteratives and depurativos produces
just that change in the functions of orgsna
as to make a healthy action to tako thc
plauc of disease. We hear of feverishness,
fluttering about tho heart, flushes, faint?
ing headache, loss of appetite, low apirita,
weakness, nervousness and & general
good-for-nothingness-all owing to fovci
and humor in the blood; and this produces
another very common disease, called dys?
pepsia, because this condition of tho blooc
tends to disorganize the organs of diges?
tion. Oct a bottle and try it. To be liai
