Tho Shenandoah Valley is said to
have almost recovered from the deso?

standing tho ravages of the many
armies that passed through it, and
the almost total destruction of houses,

it is said that this year the farmers
will probably have tho finest and
largest wheat crop ever raised in that
region. The lower counties are
filling up with Pennsylvanians, who
aro quietly buying up all tho farms
they can get.
