are almost complete for the year 1871.
The death record in these statistics ie
startling, and shows.a total of 272 men

successors, aro hereby made and created
a body politic and corporate, in law,
ander the nemo and style bf the Carolina
Oil Company, for the purpose of ex
tractingand manufacturing oil from cot?
ton seed and other seeds, or grain, and
for thc purpose of carrying on such
other business as may be connected
therewith, with such capita] as may be
subscribed, not exceeding/fifty thousand
dollars, said oapital to be divided into
shares of one hundred dollars each.
