Cowboys lluug. Tucson, Ariz., Nov. 9. Bill Littenbern and Sandy King, two members of the noted cowbo' gnng, were receutly arrested for dealing in stolen stock and taken to Shakes peare for trial. A letter has been received by Mayor Grubbs from George L. Cathin, United States Conscul at Stuttgart, asking informa tion relative to William Thees, a Germa by birih, u ho is supposed to have lived i n Indianapolis ; a few years ago. From the letter his friends seem to think him dead, and want the books examined since 1S63 in order, if possible, to obtain a certificate to that eflVct. The letter was placed in the hands of the proper official to Iook into the matter. Heavy Damages Demanded. The damage suit of Charles Bauer against Abraham II. Baker t al. came an in the Superior Court No. 2 Monday, and is on trial before a jury. On the 23d day of De cember, 1880, Bauer fell near Virginia ave nue on East Sjuth street and suffered a broken leg. He alleges that the fall was due to an obstruction in the shape of planks laid by Baker on the street near his grocery store. He sets fo th that the fall was due in no part to carelessness on his pai and that he has suffered great bodily pain, besides heavy expenses, and is perma-iently injured.
