GRAND BENEFIT CONCERT COIPILIMENTA TO THE MONTANA PLAINDEALER AT ELECTRIC HALL THURSDAY LEJE MAY 3D Pa Mrs. Jefferson Harrison at her 8: cozy home 534 Hollins Ave., on Thursday. evening gave one of those functions which it is only the lot of one to attend, once in a life- 0 time, commemorating the 45th. birth day of her husband. The guests began to assemble at 8; oclock and when dinner was an nounced at 9; oclock all had pre pared themselves to satify the in ner man. The dining room was * brilliantly lighted with candles sad a the table most beautifully decorat- I ed with cut flowers glass and the rarest cf art work; at each plate a souvinir card was placed with the name of the guest with an ap propriate inscription thereon. The dinner was served in eleven courses and as an epicurtan Mrs. Harrison certainly cannot be ex celled. When cigars were lignted II. J. Baker as toastmaster paid a glowing tribute to Mr. Harrisons i sterlisg worth as a citizen, after which he in a happy vein introdu ced W. C. Rose, J. B. Bass, N, Ford e M. York, H. Simmons, D. Harris, n D. Gordon, A. Palmer, S, Smith and M. 0. J. Arnett, all of whom spoke words of congratulation.and extolled their hosts worth as a good citizeu, the various speakers taken re a wide range and wit humor and rs eloquence reigned supreme it was after 1 2 oclock when the toastmas ter called on Mr. Harrison for his as response, when he made one of is the most touching talks on home in that we have ever heard his poi tryl of how two hearts beat in unison ns was superb. his was the one of the m evening.
