Friends of Harvey Toomer in Dy ersvllle will be surprised to hear of his marriage to Miss Belle Hastings, of Williamsburg, Iowa. The wedding took place at the home of the bride's cousin in Bethany, Mo.,'last Monday. They will reside in Williamsburg, Iowa. Dr. B. H. Luehrsmann and wife wife, and Postmaster, Wm. Walters, and wife went to Norway, last Mon day, to be present at the marriage of Mrs. Luehrsmann's sister, Miss Margaret Schulte to Mr. Charles Stallmann. The ceremony was per formed by Rev. Leigh received a 'tele gram Friday morning, informing' ber of the sudden- death of her nephew, Mr. Jos.--Burton, of Chicago. Mr. Burton was in good health until re cently, and an dperation was neces sary, but his constitution was so weakened that he didn't survive the operation, but death relieved his sufferings Thursday, evening. Mr. Burton has made numerous visits with relatives here jmd on those oc casions he made many friends, who will learn gf his sudden death with 73", Sincere regret. Mr. William Jaeger, of this city, and Miss Celia Koche, of New Vien na were married Tuesday morning, in New Vienna. The young people are very well known In Dyersvllle, Mr. Jaeger having an interest in the Jaeger Bros. Butter Tub factory in Dyersville for many years. They will go to housekeeping in the new home just"completed in East Dyers ville. J- Miss Rcfee'lielgh, of this city, left Friday afternoon for Chicago, where she attended the funeral of her cous in, Mr. Joseph Burton, who passed away Thursday evening. Relatives andN friends from other cities who were In attendance at the funeral, of-4he late Mr. John Lock wood,- which "occurred Tuesday morn ing from his mother's home to St. Francis'. church, thence to Mt.
