A package has been received at the dead
!-tter office which was mailed in Boston
fud addressed to the Prince of Wales, Lon
d >n, England It was held for postage.
When it was opened it was found to con
tuin a brass figure of Christ, evidently de?
tached from a email crucifix, and a smai;
giass tube containing u while liquid and
)!.?ving two wirts runniug through the tube
und projecting from both ends. A paper in
t losed contained an incoherent sentence.
The dead-letter officials were apprehensive
!hat the gla-s tube might be an infernal
machine, as it was carefully packed in cot
r .n. and tbey are trying to find some one
wno wiil test the explosive qualities of the
liquid, if it has any.
