Forkboding of War.?The conviction is
apirily solidifying that the already strained
relations of the various European powers
with one another are fas", becoming unbear?
able, and that the irksome ties and barriers
must eoon be swept a3ide, with the inevitable
cm^quence of bloodshed. The London
Standard, discussing tha Situation in an ex
?'irdingly Ferioua strain, concludes thattheir
roust be an armed h rugglo on the coniiuent
in the near future, or else there must bo on
the part of weaker powers an abject submit
-i >n to the will of the stroLger. Nothing i"
the nature of a middle conr.c, the Standard
believes, will suffior, while a continuance o(
>he present state of things must n-c?s arily
iead to the bankruptcy of the leading Euro
? ean powers, both in bone and sinew and
fioancas.
Sir A. Paget, British ambassador to Yien

paid a visit to the foreign office yesterday
afternoon, and spent three bourn in consul
tat' a with various prominent officials in the
departaent, one hour of which time was de?
voted to a private conference with Lord
Salisbury. The ambassador is on the eve of
his return to Vienna, and will bear with him
to his post of duty important dispatches
particularizing the views of the British pov
ernmeot on the present cr:sis. Those) docu?

shares of $1 each.
The company is incorporated under the Jaws of West Virgiia, and
the stock is non-assessable, and carries with it no personal :ia|ility to
the holder.
The Gold. Mining Company (location Music Mountains, A. ri.) is as
sound a mining enterprise as was ever placed on the market, and its
possibilities have never been exceeded. Every share should do;ble in
value within a year, and they may quadruple, as they are bai?d on
property that would ordinarily have been capitalized ten (10 tin^s as j
great on account of its known richness and promise.
The shares are made small so that any one can invest. Subscripfions
for five shares are as welcome as those for hundreds.
Every dollar of earnings will go to the stockholders in diviiencis, as :
there is nothing else that they can be used for.
A Wisewell mill, capacity 20 tons per day, with powerful machinery,
has been purchased and will be on the ground ready for erection at the
mine within the next thirty days.
The solid basis upon which the company is founded and the practical
proofs of the- richness of the mine have already secured t ie co2iideir;e
of the public, and the stock has steadily advanced in selling value
Within the last few days bona fide sales have been made at pad.
There is no better stock on the market for a permanent investment.
