Policeman Shot Dead by Colored Youth in Montgomery, Ala. .Rayville, La., March 2,?Three ne groes, whose names were given as Jim Lewis, Jim Jones and Will Powell, were lynched by a mob of white men near Delhi, La., in an isolated sec tion of Richland parish, last Tuesday fis the outgrowth of trouble between whites and negroes near Delhi Sun day, when a white farmer and a negro were killed, according to re ports received here. Two of the negroes were hanged and the third was shot and killed as lie attempted to escape. Asheville, N. C., March 2.?Willie Williams, a negro, 1G years old. is un der arrest here charged with an at tack on a young white woman r\if this city on December 26 last. The young woman yesterday morning identi fied him as her assailant. He will be tried Monday. Montgomery, Ala., Mar. 2.?A citv wide search is being made for an un known negro, who early yesterday morning shot and killed patrolman M. Goocher.
