outstanding bills, at its banking house, iu the
Vermont National Bank of St. Albans, for onu
year from tho 2.1111 day of May, 180H, agreeably

It ii hereby enacted, Ac.
Srx 1. After tlio expiration of the charter of
any b, ik chartered by this Stato, or after tho
termination of tho existence of any such bank,
agreeably to tho laws of this Stato, such bank
may cause notice to bo published iu all the week
ly newspapers of tho county where such bank is
located, for one full year, setting forth that said
bank will redeem its outstanding bills, tho day
of tho expiration of its charter or the date of
the termination of its existence, and a copy of
tliis act; aud upon duo publication ot such no
tice, neither such bank nor its olliecrs shall bo
liable to any action for tlio lion-redemption for
any of its outstanding bills, unless the same
shall havo been duly presented and payment
thereof demanded within tho year aforesaid, at
tho banking liouso of said bank.
Si:o. 2. After tlio expiration of tho charter,
or niter the termination of tlio existence of any
such bank, as aforesaid, such bank shall cease
to bo subject to tho operation, or liable to tho
provisions of tho sixty-third section of chanter
eighty-nino of tho general statutes.
